Metropolitan Community College (Kansas City)-Blue River is offering 15 non-credit online equine study courses, announced Diane Jacobs, MCC-Blue River Community Relations Specialist.

"If you are in the presence of a horse, you are a horse trainer-good or bad. Whether you know it or not, you are constantly influencing the behavior of the horses around you. You are reinforcing their behavior which means that you are either encouraging or discouraging behaviors to occur again."
.........excerpt from the introduction to the
Behavior Modification Techniques course.

The world's leader in online equine studies courses, Success Is Easy, provides the curriculum for all of these courses including instruction by qualified professionals.

"This progressive method of learning offers the latest health care, nutrition and training information while providing one-on-one tutoring with internationally successful horsemen and women," said Jacobs.

"For those who wish to start a horse business, we recommend taking
The Business of Making Money with Horses and Legal Aspects of Horse Management, then add other specialty courses," Jacobs continued.

You can start at any time; unlike some other continuing education classes, you set the start date for each course and work at your own pace - there are no completion deadlines.  "Success Is Easy" will contact the College once the course is completed and the Continuing Education Department will then forward your certificate of completion.  "Students may take one course or several at a time," Jacobs said.

Registration is simple. Just call Diane Jacobs at 816-220-6592 in the Continuing Education department or the reception line at 816-220-6590 to enroll;  then within 24-48 hours you will get your course reference number and will be able to start your class the next business day.  For more information e-mail
